 A KINEAUX  presents $1 DRIVE-IN

For our October edition, KINEAUX presents a special drive-in screening of indie-thriller favorite A Girl Walks Home Alone At Night opened by a screening of 'Michael Jackson’s Thriller' ! Also on deck for our audience will be:


- Concessions & Food Vendors
- Drink Specials
- A BYO-friendly & inclusive environment

 

Proceeds of this event will be donated to the Radical Arts & Healing Collective, which provides an intersectional, intergenerational, multiracial community space in New Orleans.

 

All are welcome (including pets and cyclists) to join KINEAUX on Saturday October 22 for a dope night of community and cinema!

Michael Jackson's Thriller is a 13-minute horror-themed music video for the song of the same name, released from Jackson's sixth studio album of the same name, in 1983.


Thriller proved to have a profound effect on popular culture, and was named "a watershed moment for the music industry" for its unprecedented merging of filmmaking and music.


In 2009, the video was inducted into the National Film Registry by the Library of Congress, the first music video to ever receive this honor, for being “culturally, historically or aesthetically” significant.

On the evening of Feb 8th , 2016, Eric Harris, 22, was killed by Jefferson Parish deputies Henry Dejean and Kenneth Bonura in the Central City neighborhood of New Orleans.

What can/can't I bring to the event?


This is a BYO-friendly event. However concessions will be available for purchase and food vendors will be on site. 

Do I have to bring my printed ticket to the event?

No.

The name on the registration/ticket doesn't match the attendee. Is that okay?

Yes. Tickets are also transferrable. 

Are there ID requirements or an age limit to enter the event?

No. However alcohol will be served at this event and film screened carries an R-rating.


What are my transport/parking options getting to the event?

Street parking is available at the venue.
